1. Who we are
ILovePTE (ilovepte.in) is an online PTE Core preparation platform based at Omaxe City, Sector 15, Bahadurgarh Haryana - 124507, India. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website and services. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, username, email address, mobile number and password (stored in encrypted form). You may also add details such as your city and country.
- Test and practice data: your answers, typed responses, voice recordings from speaking tasks, scores, time spent and progress.
- Payment details: the plan you bought, amount, currency and transaction reference. Card, UPI and bank details are handled directly by Razorpay or PayPal and never reach our servers.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, email, the in-app assistant or our newsletter sign-up.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and login times, collected through server logs, cookies and Google Analytics.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account, and to verify your email with one-time codes (OTP).
- To deliver mock tests and practice, score your answers and show your progress and insights.
- To process payments, activate plans and send invoices.
- To send service emails such as plan expiry notices, practice reminders and weekly progress reports.
- To send prep tips and offers, only if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To keep the platform secure, prevent misuse and improve our questions, scoring and features.
4. AI scoring
To score speaking and writing tasks and to power the study assistant, your responses (text and, where needed, transcribed speech) may be sent to trusted AI providers such as Google (Gemini) and OpenAI. They process this data only to return results to us, under their own data protection terms. We do not send your payment details to these providers, and we do not sell your data.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed to run the service:
- Payment processors: Razorpay and PayPal, to take payments.
- Hosting and storage: cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, which store our database and audio files.
- Email services: to deliver OTPs, invoices and notifications.
- AI providers: as described above.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used.
- Your institute: if your account is linked to a coaching institute, it can see your attempts, scores and progress.
- Authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session, and analytics cookies to measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the platform may not work without essential cookies.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your account and test data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can return to your history. Payment and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and secure hosting. No online system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update inaccurate data;
- delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law;
- stop sending you marketing emails;
- withdraw consent you have given us.

10. Children
The platform is meant for adults preparing for PTE Core. If you are under 18, please use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will notify you by email or on the site.
